Previous Recipients in Mail

I know that you can remove "bad" email addresses in the Previous Recipients window. But when I type in an address, the "bad" one still comes up. And when I search for that address in the search bar inside Previous Recipients, it does not show up. And, coincidentally, an address I know I have used many times in the past doesn't even show up in Previous Recipients. Can that database be purged, or rebuilt somehow? Or do I have to delete ALL addresses and start over?

iMac 21.5" 4K, macOS 10.13

Hi Dana, Previous Recipients in 10.13.6 is stored in...

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Containers/com.apple.corerecents.recentsd/Data/Library/SyncedPreferences/recentsd-com.apple.mail.recents.plist

Be sure to quit Mail 1st if removing that file., might require other Apps be quit also since it says Synced

You could try opening it in BBEdit & edit it...

Thanks. Would deleting this file DELETE all the previous recipients? I was hoping I could just reset it somehow so I don't loss the addresses I need.
