Somehow "BING" search engine has taken over as my search engine on my Mac. Google is still set as my default search engine under my preferences, but I cannot stop BING from taking over as the search engine. How do I get rid of "BING" and get back Google as my search engine?

You have adware/malware installed. Use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac. It may be necessary to run more than one scan. After scanning a couple of times, restart the computer and test.
