how do l check if a Mac book Pro l am about to buy is 2018 or 2019 from just the serial number since l do not have the physical laptop with me
How do l also know if it is original or not

Go to this Apple page and enter the serial no: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support
It will tell you what the model Mac you have and its warranty status.
Do not purchase a used Mac that hasn't been prepared according to this Apple document: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac and from a source that you can't take it back for a full refund if it doesn't work correctly or isn't what you expected.
