Transfer a Photos Album from a MacBook to an iMac

I have 3,015 photos on my wife's MacBook organized into an album in Photos. I want to transfer them to my iMac without losing the chronological order.

iMac 27", macOS 10.14

Just to make sure we're all on the same page: the photos in the album are sorted chronologically with the oldest at the top,

correct?


Export them as Unmodified Originals to a folder on her Desktop or a connected hard drive with this checkbox checked:


Then drag the folder with the image and xml files onto your Photos icon in your Dock. You can select the option to keep the folder organization intact and you'll get an album with the same name as the folder with your photos in it. Just make sure you're sorting in that album is by oldest first:
