Iphone XS water resistant FAIL

if you have an AppleCare+ extended warranty you are entitled to two instances of reduced cost repair or replacement.

Im so mad my Iphone XS got wet and now face id function and speakers are messed up. What happened to water resistant? My phone has 0 cracks. I can no longer use face id due to the false water resistant claim u guys made. Is there no way to get a fix for free or a quick fix. Or did i waste 1k dollars.

Get the phone properly checked by Apple Service. Unless there is something you are not telling us there is no evidence (and possibly unlikely) the failure was caused by a single splash, so don’t rule out coincidence. Contact Support and get it examined before you assume it is due to water.

My i phone 7 S got wet and between drying it, Apple Store, using Interteck silica beads and Damp Rid, I have everything back but the front forward camera -so no Facetime photo or video

The phone works great on Speakerphone but regular calls cant hear me. Anyones thoughts on any additional steps I might take for either problem?

Either do an out of warranty replacement of the iPhone with Apple or take it to a reliable 3rd party repair site and have them open and wash it then replace all the damaged/corroded parts. The latter choice will prohibit you from doing the former.

Water damage is not covered by warranty.

Water resistant does not mean waterproof. Water resistance is NOT a permanent condition.

Speaker phone works but not regular phone call being sent. Others cannot hear me.

Anyone know how I might fix this? Much appreciated in advance.
