My MacBook air refuses what I know to be the correct password

My MacBook air will not open when I enter what I know to be the correct password and which I used last time I was asked for one Where do I go from here?

Check to make sure Caps Lock is not on.


Try using an external keyboard in case the internal one is faulty.


Boot into Recovery Mode and make sure the keyboard can type the letters in your password.


Reset your password by following these instructions
