My 2016 macbook Pro has got unstable usbc ports. Is this a warranty case?

The usbc-ports (Thunderbolt 3) on my Macbook Pro from "Late 2016" has become unstable/loose, and are really sensitive. Copying large amounts of data often crashes (e.g. backup) due to this looseness.

I have not been careless, my mac looks like new still. Will a repair be covered by warranty?

If the laptop is still covered by the AppleCare warranty and Apple does not find any signs of accidental damage, then yes the repair should be covered under warranty assuming the issue is with the USB-C ports and not your USB-C cable or the external drive.
