White borders on borderless printing unless I convert to PDF

How do I get back to the printing borderless prints like I used to be able to do with Photos on my Mac and Canon printer MG8220. The 2.5mm thin borders are always on the right side and the bottom of the print.

Try the following:

1 - first crop the image to the aspect ratio of the intended prints.

2 - in Photos' print window select the borderless size you want to print.

3 - select the Fill option:

Selecting the 4 x 6 option did give a small white line at the far right of the image. Fill does not.

4 - print on 4 x 6 stock.
