I do not get the option to Select Fall Detection on the SOS Emergency settings on my watch.
it is an A1859 and according to the info I have read it should be available
what am I doing wrong

I looked and see no such documentation regarding Series 3 compatibility with fall detection. Not saying you’re incorrect Welsh, but they made a big deal about this when the Series 4 Watch was released.
This feature is only for for Series 4 and future
Ah Ok, I have seen documentation clearly indicating that it works on Series 3
