Mac to Mac migrate files

I’m trying to use the migrate to transfer files from one MacBook Pro to another MacBook Pro but it won’t recognize the Mac that is trying to share info. They are in the same network, right next to each other. What am I doing wrong?

------

Try a Fresh Restart:

  1. End the migration
  2. Shutdown both
  3. Reset NVRAM and SMC on both
  4. Reboot Both
  5. Log into Both
  6. Try this Once More

Also, if you have any security software installed, rid of it, as that may be revoking remote access to internal files.
