I am low on space on my MBP (500GB model. There is about 170 GB of purgeable space. and then there is 50 GBs of iOS files which apear backups of idevices i own. The problem arises when I use Starry Landscape Stacker and it says there is not enough space.
what is the best advice?

I have the same problem. After doing everything listed on that page, it has only increased my purgeable space.
