Title Colour Changing Automatically

Hi FCPX community!

I'm not sure if there's a fix for this - I've been trying to get a title to read in a slightly lighter hue of its initial colour, but, in trying to change the colour manually using the shade bar beneath the colour wheel (after accessing the colour menu in "face"), the computer seems to revert the colour automatically to the slightly-less-bright version, with the position of the shade slider also having been reverted.

Would there be any workaround for this issue?

Thank you for having read my question!

Hi Tom!

The title in question is of the "basic title" type.

The first linked photo shows where I've accessed the title's colour manipulation tab from, the second photo is a screen capture of the current position on the "shade slider" (below the colour wheel), and the third shows the position on the slider that would allow me to use my intended colour.

The slider definitely works within the colour wheel window, but the text seems either to not have changed colour after the slider's use, or looks to have reverted to the initial colour, which is a little darker.

I've been verifying so far that my text is highlighted in full before I attempt to change its colour.

This could just be a limitation of either the software or my video editing technique, and I appreciate any suggestions.
