Safari freezes

Currently running Mojave:10.14.6 on my iMac-Retina 4K, 2017... Whenever I open Safari:12.1.2....after 1-3 clicks on a link, it freezes...then I have to restart. No problem with my internet Svc ...it seems to be just a Safari issue. Anyone else having similar issues?

Have you ever tried to use the Activity monitor to diagnose what's the problem.

You can use spotlight to search for Activity monitor on your Mac.

Then you can launch the safari and draw attention to the system monitor what happens to safari.

I noticed that you have updated your safari to the latest version.

I wondered if it's the malicious pug-ins or adware that lead to the program frozen. You can consider to remove all the extensions from your browser to see if this helps.

Hope this helps.
