Pages v8.1 has no means to get an image directly into Photos. Select the image, and on the right panel, click the Pages Image tab. You will see File Info, a tiny icon, and the name of the image file. Click on that tiny image icon and drag and drop it onto the Desktop. Once on the Desktop, you can right-click on that image, and choose Share : Add to Photos.


You might be tempted to drag the tiny icon from the Image panel straight down and drop it on the Photos application icon in the Dock, and though it does not complain or bounce the icon, the image is not added to Photos.
