how to recover an ipad

I am trying to reset an ipad was used by my employee and I dont have the password. It is listed in my account, but I cant find a way to reset it.

By password, you mean the screen unlock passcode?

In what account is it listed in, your iCloud account?

Try following the steps here: If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

That's what I get for being at work and trying to answer a question. I hope you are right it's just the passcode for the iPad.
