Transfer data

I’ve given my 1st gen iPad to my sister. How do I transfer her data from her old iPad to the one I’m giving her.? [ 1st gen IPad Pro 12”}

she does not have a computer.

If you haven't already, first do the following to your old iPad: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


then she can use the following instructions: Use iCloud to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

iCloud might be a little bit clunky. Certainly I've heard complaints about backups being slow and sometimes incomplete.


For iTunes it doesn't need to be her computer. Any PC or Mac that can load a compatible (i.e. not too old) version of iTunes can do it provided there's enough storage capacity to create a backup.


I've heard of some people making appointments at Apple Stores (if one is near one) to have it done. They have plenty of demo computers that can be used for this purpose.
