Dead pixels? Bright pink dots on screen

Can someone please tell me what is going on with my screen? I have a MacBook Pro 2017 with the touchbar and I just noticed today that there are a bunch of tiny pink dots in the bottom right of my screen. It only shows up with dark backgrounds and is still there when I turn off/back on!

It is impossible for us to tell what is going on here since we don't know what is supposed to be displayed on the screen. Is this supposed to be a pure black image? Is there supposed to be a cursor at that exact location which is not being displayed properly?

Do you have the same issue when connecting the laptop to an external display? If everything appears Ok on the external display, then the laptop's internal Display has a hardware issue and needs to be replaced.

You may have better luck getting help by taking the laptop to Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined. This is one of those things where seeing it first hand helps tremendously.

Failed Pixels would show up as Red, Green, Blue, or White single dots in a chaotic pattern.

You have what appears to be a ballon help ballon or a weird icon. It is either partially obscuring the solid Apple (ghosting through in the upper part towards the right), or it IS the solid Apple turned into pink AppleSauce by a Hardware failure or massively corrupted file in MacOS. (the solid Apple can only after after it has been loaded off the disk as part of the first "blob" of software from a "Magic place" on the drive).
