iCloud Drive takes up a lot of space on my iPhone

So, I’ve realized, that iCloud Drive takes a 9,4 GB of storage on my iPhone. I’ve tried to delete everything, but it doesn’t help. I don’t even save anything to iPhone, I upload it directly to iCloud Drive. I can’t determine why does it take so much space, so I need your help. What should I do, to free space?

Whatever you load in iCloud Drive stays on your phone. iCloud is a syncing service, not an external hard drive. After deleting the files, did you empty the Trash?

Whatever you load in iCloud Drive stays on your phone. iCloud is a syncing service, not an external hard drive. After deleting the files, did you empty the Trash?
