iPad iOS app issues

I've just bought a new iPad and downloaded the iPad iOS and I've downloaded the iPad iOS on and older iPad as well . On certain apps where there used to be 'lists' it's now invisible. If I touch where they should be, it does 'click on' to the next page, but they are not visible. I'm sorry if this makes no sense. For example in the image below, it should be populated with several lines ie; 'Living Room', 'Locker Room' etc. if I tap where that subset should be, it does 'click' to the next page, but you can not see the info.
