I don’t get a search bar when I swipe down the middle of my home screen with the new updated software. What should I do?

Hello,

Please verify that you are swiping down from the very center of iPad's Home Screen.

First, this isn’t a jab at zmclearan, and I get it now, but. .. HEY APPLE! This is NOT an intuitive gesture, and “down from the center” or even “down from the very center” is not a clear instruction. Maybe the “middle of the screen - don’t start at the top” and/or some clarification like: start halfway down from the top and halfway between left and right sides of the screen / if the screen had a bullseye on it, start from the bullseye and swipe down . . . Or something.

But, really, why can’t we just swipe from the left or the top to search like in the good old days? Why the ‘center’??? Needlessly confusing.
