Shift keys completly disabled

Hi,

Today I couldn't log in to my macbook, even if I typed the right password. I quickly realized that the shift key was locked for some reason (it wasn't stuck physically). I tried to get both shift keys out and clean underneath, but that didn't solve the issue. It seems that the left and right shift buttons disabled or stopped working at the same time even though it was fine the day before. I didn't spill anything on my keyboard, it just happened randomly. I don't think that this is a physically issue since both of my shift keys stopped working at the same time.

I was wondering if someone has a fix for this?
