Can't open numbers spreadsheets on Ipad after upgrade to IPadOS 13.2

Since I upgraded to IpadOS 13.2 I can't open any Numbers spreadsheets created on MacBook and shared via Icloud, nor can I create new spreadsheets using Numbers on Ipad. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the Numbers app but that made no difference.

Error message when I click either on a standard template to create a new spreadsheet, or try to open existing file is ...

Can't open Spreadsheet

"<<filename>>" can't be opened right now. Numbers couldn't read the file. You can try restoring to a previous version.
