I placed a title over a film clip but it does not hide the film image

I've been using the scrolling title to replace the film clip but keep the audio. Other places in the film dragging the title over the film clip replaces the film image. However, in two other instances, I can still see the film behind the title. Any tricks? thanks in advance.

I called Apple support and was instructed to add a background below the title, and that made the film clip invisible. Whew!
