I need to back up an iphone SE to my macOS 10.15.1 but I do't want to pay for more icloud storage and I can't seem to download any versions of itunes onto my mac. Is there any other way to complete a back up? Also what happened to itunes? Is Catalina the new thing?

I need to back up an iphone5 to my macOS 10.15.1 but I do't want to pay for more icloud storage and I can't seem to download any versions of itunes onto my mac. Is there any other way to complete a back up? Also what happened to itunes? Is Catalina the new thing?
In Catalina the app is now called Music. When I upgraded my IMAC to Catalina, it pulled everything from Itunes into Music, except a ring tone.
I back up my phone to Icloud.
