It's 6:20 pm and I just received phone call warning me unauthorized activity on my phone concerning
financial activity, etc. call from 1-800-212-6517, then connecting to a TECHNICIAN asking about my wifi
connection,, etc.
Can this be legit?

No, it is a scam. Apple doesn't make unsolicited phone calls.
