Connecting a usb flash drive to iPad 2016 model

Can I use a usb flash drive to access and store videos and music for my MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012)?

If you update your iPad Pro to iPadOS13.x - and you purchase an Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter - then yes. With this combination, you can copy files to a USB memory stick (or other USB storage device).


The memory stick will need to be formatted with a single data partition using FAT, FAT32, exFAT or APFS+. FAT filesystems are generally recommended as this gives greatest compatibility with other systems.
