Why does Apple Pay not show up in my Payment methods even if I have successfully linked my debit card with Apple Pay?

I can't add my debit card in Apple ID because the Apple Pay payment method option does not show up.
What payment methods are you talking about? You have to add your debit card to your Apple ID also.
That's the problem. The Apple Pay option does not show up in the Payment Methods. Only credit card. But in my Apple Wallet, my debit card is already there.
