iPhone UK work on a Spanish sim

Keep in mind the ONLY place you can buy an unlocked iPhone in the UK is directly from Apple.

The so-called unlocked or sim free iPhones sold by other retailers *cough_carphone_warehouse_cough* are NOT unlocked. They can only be activated on a UK carrier and will lock to the first UK carrier used.

It may or may not be unlocked. There's no way to know for sure until you have it in hand and can test a sim card in it.

Only the carrier it is locked to can then unlock it, and while most carriers do this for free, they generally require you to have been a customer of theirs in good standing to agree to unlock it.

Yes, in Europe all countries use the same iPhone model.

You would have to buy it directly from Apple. That's how you know.

NO ONE other than the carrier the phone is locked to can unlock it.
