Verification Failed: connecting to Apple ID server

I have treid multiple solutions to get this fixed but it's still not working,.


Attempts:

  1. restart
  2. sign out and try to sign in
  3. reset password (don't know why but I tried it anyway, password works fine on my MacBook)


The odd thing is that I have switched wifi networks on both and the MacBook does not have a problem. No firewall or VPN running on the iPad. This is frustrating because of the two factor security measures. Not sure what to do!
