Yes, I know not to delete those types of files. When I attempt to update my iPhone to the new version, the following message comes up:
iTunes could not back up the iPhone because not enough space is available on this computer. Removing files and emptying the trash to free up additional space. I have already emptied the trash. How do I remove the files they're referencing?
Parts of macOS should never be deleted or removed.
If you want to remove personal junk, then control (right) click on the file, select Move to Trash and then Empty the Trash.
