I have a work phone number (iPhone 8 plus) and my personal iPhone number (iPhone X). Can I have 2 numbers under my Apple ID? Or will this cause issues? How would I do this?

You can have them both under your ID, but their calls will probably get mixed, and any data on the phones will be shared. Add both numbers to your Apple ID.
