Bought a very good second IPAD online but unable to have it unlocked because it is associated with previous owner I don't know.
How do I remove the credentials of the previous owner?
I know the MAC address but doesn't know the serial number.
Any assistance?

the activation lock is a theft protection and the lock is on apples servers not on the device itself
