HI dilbenfield,

What version of Pages? (Pages menu > About Pages)

Is the version of OS X listed still correct? (Apple menu > About this Mac)

Can you launch Pages?

Can you create a new Pages document, Save it, Close it, then re-open it?

Do you get any messages when you attempt to open an existing Pages document?

Have you restarted the computer recently?

Have you started into Safe Mode?

A restart triggers some 'housekeeping routines, and is often enough to cure some issues.

A start into Safe Mode causes a more thorough housekeeping session.

To startup into Safe Mode:

      • Shut down the computer.
      • Startup using the power button.
      • Immediately on hearing the startup chime, press and hold the shift key.
      • Keep the shift key pressed until you see the Apple logo on the screen and a progress bar below it.
      • Allow the startup time to complete.

As more routines are called, you will notice that this startup takes longer than a normal startup.

You will also see a degradation in video performance (this is normal)

      • Can you launch Pages in Safe Mode?
      • Are you able to open any of the previously unopenable documents?
      • Do a normal restart (Apple menu > Restart)
      • Any improvement?

The above are general troubleshooting processes, which may not fix this specific issue.

Regards,

Barry
