I have just purchased a new IMAC. I want to see my live photos from my iphone on the imac but says its not the right format for quick time. I have not done anything to the photo so why won't the imac show it like the phone? What am I missing. What do I need to turn on or convert to make this work so I can see those types of photos? Thanks

The easiest way to view the Live Photos on an iMac with macOS 15 Catalina is to import the Live Photos into Photos for Mac. They will play automatically in the Days view, and you can edit them and add Live Effects.
