AirPods do not show up under my devices

Here’s how this is supposed to work: If your AirPods are lost - Apple Support

The AirPods must be within Bluetooth range, and are located secondary to locating a connected iPhone or iPad.

The AirPods don’t have cellular data or satellite radios, and can’t be directly remotely contacted.

Which version of iOS? You’ll need 10.3 or later.

You’ve gone through and confirmed the following?

Set up Find My on your iPhone, Mac, and other devices - Apple Support

Connect and use your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

And your AirPods are within Bluetooth range of one of your paired devices?

You’re logged into your same Apple ID, your EarPods or EarPods Pro are charged, and are within ~5 meters of a device that you can see in Find My? If so, ring up Apple Support. I don’t know why yours are not showing.

What’s your iPhone version?

Go to Bluetooth in settings, make the airpods in pairing mode, and look for them under “other devices”
