Mac OS install gone wrong

Hello, I’m trying to sell my iMac late 2011. I was doing a factory reset. Erased whatever was in my disks. Once the pc restarted, it went to a spinning globe and went straight to utilities menu. It was FINE until I tried to install the Mac OS. Long story short I keep getting a message, “can't download the additional components needed to install.” I genuinely don’t know what I did to get this. I literally can’t get on my pc anymore

After you reboot and get to the Utilities menu, have a peek at the upper right corner of your screen. If you see the icon for Wi-Fi, click it and see if you can sign into your wireless network. Just a thought as I had experienced something similar recently.

I hope you get this worked out.
