Start by Force ReStarting (Hard ReBoot) your iPhone.

Once the iPhone has rebooted then try again and see if your issue persists or is it resolved.

Keep your WhatsApp app updated. Appears to be a WhatsApp issue. I have WhatsApp and do not have this issue however I am using a different iPhone than your are.

My WhatApp keeps freezing. I have restarted and I have closed and opened it. But it's an ongoing problem. I would like to update WhatsApp but don't know how. I have an iphone x.
