Transfer emails in one go to another mailbox

How do I transfer several emails in one go from a selected mailbox to another mailbox without having to copy/send each msg individual.

MacBook Pro 15", OS X 10.10

The new mailbox should be in your sidebar. Select the old mailbox, then click one message and hit command-A. Drag the messages to the new mailbox in the sidebar. If either mailbox is IMAP (where the messages reside on the server) this may take some time. If you have a very large number of messages it might be better to do a selection at a time (click the top message in your selection then shift-click the bottom one). A few hundred at a time should be fine.
