Birthdays not showing in calendar.

Tried asking this in icloud, but no one there seemingly. So tried to ask in another section, but seems to have failed as well.

Running two macs. Both up to date and time zone correct. The only calendar/contacts I am using is Apple.

Birthdays showing fine on icloud.

On the macs, birthdays not showing when the calendar opened on either machine.

Enter preferences and hit the check box, all is well for that session.

Next time I open the calendar, the box is unchecked again.

Any ideas? Searched, and all that is recommended is check the box.

Why is it that a company like Apple cannot supply answers themselves.

Hi and thanks again.

Firstly no file named "com.apple.iCal.plist" or even "iCal.plist" on either machine. I did however find two duplicate empty folders showing 0Kb. So biffed them and it all seem to be good. Will reply if problem returns.

Thanks again.

Hi, thank you very much for the reply.

Tried the safe mode with the same result. Never moved the file as this is happening on two separate machines, laptop and desktop. Been all around the help sites but cannot find anything but click the check box. Well that is unchecking itself on both machines. No great problem, just really annoying. Thanks again.
