What if you follow all recommended steps but still get an error message unable to connect?

I cannot get one of my iPads to act as a remote in Keynotes' on another iPad. I followed all instruction but they will not connect. They show up in each other’s Bluetooth settings but will not connect.


iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 3rd Gen, Wi-Fi
