My old iPhoto library doesn't appear on new MacBook Pro

I am trying to access old videos and pictures from 2012-2015 from my old MacBook Pro. None of them are on the Cloud for some reason. Usually when you hold down button while launching Photos, you can access previous libraries; however, none of mine are listed. I am on my old MacBook and it shows that iCloud is on, but nothing is synced. I am so confused and my new MacBook Pro doesn't have a USB port (boo!) to plug in my Passport and do the transfer. Any ideas?

You'll have to use a Thunderbolt to USB 3.1 adaptor. I believe that is the one that will work. Check with Apple before purchasing.
