Can I recover a draft Apple email accidentally deleted? Help me please!

MacOS 10.14.6 Mojave

Apple eMail

I composed an email to a family member carefully expressing thoughts on our fragile relationship. Which I don't think I could recreate from memory nor have time. I had two identical reply windows open and deleted, then confirmed the delete, on the wrong one. There is no undo option, can't see it in local HD trash or deleted messages.

Is there any recovery method or other places it could have saved automatically. I feel I have some bad news coming.

Please send me a miracle.

I just had the same problem. Before you give up looking, try a Spotlight search.

Yesterday I wrote a quick draft email that had nothing more than a man's email address. Today I went to the drafts folder to write the rest of the email, and by mistake I hit the delete key. My draft email disappeared, along with the man's email address. It was nowhere to be found. I checked Mail's Trash folder (not there); I checked my Mac's Trash (not there); I hit the Undo button (no effect); I highlighted the Drafts folder and right-clicked and on and on. I searched everywhere. I almost gave up trying. Then I found it: I remembered part of the email address that was in my draft email -- not all of it, but just enough for Spotlight to find it. Yes, Spotlight searched and somehow found the draft email I had deleted.

I didn't take the time to try to figure out how it did that, but I am definitely suggesting you give it a try. Good luck.
