New ipad

I just purchase a newer ipad.

When I signed into my wifi network all of the pictures on my phone immediately came over to the new ipad and I was super excited because I thought this was going to go great.

I signed into my Apple account on the new ipad and could see all the games that I had on the old ipad sitting there under "Purchased", with an arrow pointing down. I thought I could just click that arrow and be off to the races but it only game me the game, with no progress. I don't want to start my games over again and lose all my progress.

I want to transfer over all of my games that I had on the original Ipad but I want my game progress to come over to the new ipad as well.

Can this be done easily??

How did you restore this newer iPad? Was this an iCloud backup, an iTunes backup? Not all games backup through the iPad, they have their own backup system. That is a decision on the game developer if they put the game progress into an area that can be backed up in iCloud or iTunes. You may have to check the original games on the old iPad, or if you were doing an iCloud restore, give it enough time to ensure that it is completely restored.

Hey Chris

The games are in Game Center (which is on my old iPad but somehow not on the new one)

Anyways , I logged into my Apple ID on the new iPad and went to the app store. Under the tab at the bottom marked Purchased all of the games that I have ever had under this Apple ID are listed there. It shows them with a cloud and an arrow pointing downwards. So I clicked that and got the game on the new iPad . I assumed that because I was signed in with my Apple ID that it would download it the same as what was on my old iPad. But it didn't, this download has me starting at the beginning of the game.
