how can I reset my password without reseting the whole device

I locked my iPad about 4 or 5 years ago and still can't get into it and nothing is backed up on the cloud and I don't wanna lose all the data from the device I just want to unlock it

Unfortunately you must now fully restore your iPad to factory settings. This is a good lesson as to why it is important to always keep your data backed up.


Please refer to the following Apple Support documents.


If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
