What can I do with my old, dead iPad 1?
It's completely dead, tried with two different (working) cables in the wall and connected to MacBook Pro and iMac. No luck. Nada. Nothing. Stone cold dead.
I'm pretty sure there was no sensitive information but as it won't charge or turn on, I can't check.
My options are throw it. Dismantle it and make a decorative frame for pictures of my dog or something else.... Just not sure what.
Any thoughts?

You might be still be able to get it serviced by an Authorized Apple Service Provider, if you are willing to invest the money.

You could trade it in. Unfortunately, it won't qualify for any credit, but at least it would be a more environmental friendly way to dispose of it.
DO NOT spend any money on this 10-year old iPad.
It is not worth it!
Just recycle this device responsibly.
