7 plus earpiece

My new earpiece is not working in my new phone.You only hear a sound after insertion but no audio is heard again.Kindly help me fix this.NB-New phone with its accessories

My problem has been fixed.I put on my Bluetooth and activated lightning then I was able to use the headset
