Dear Apple. This is how to fix Font Book.

Currently, fonts are a mess. The list of system fonts is enormous and regardless of the fact that you'll never EVER use Mukta Mahee or Kohinoor Bangla to design your next project – they'll be right there, cluttering up your font list. Why? Because currently, OSX treats fonts as binary; on or off, enabled or disabled. And some fonts – like the ones mentioned above – can't be disabled.

We all get that they need to be there for language support. No arguments there.

However, its 2020. We've got Back to the Future shoes and cars that drive themselves. Why don't we have have an option to prevent fonts from appearing in application menus? I can only imagine this has been as annoying for the designers working at Apple as it has been for the rest of us.
