2019 MacBook Pro 16” randomly shuts off

Why does my 2019 MacBook Pro 16” laptop randomly shut down while I am using it? I hit the power button and it powers up but it just shuts down in the middle of me typing sometimes. I don't understand why. It’s 3 months old. And I haven’t used it a full 1 of those months.

Thanks for your reply. I left the MacBook charging for about 13 hours today without using it. I unplugged it and 20 minutes later it just shuts off in the middle of me using it. Battery was at 99%. I don’t understand why it is doing this.

A relatively new experience these batteries coming out of the factory with "unknown full point" —

ex. here a different Mac, different issue, however the charging protocol is recommended as a way of getting past this issue:

If your MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) keeps shutting down

have a look see and report back any resolve.

The batteries on the newest MacBook Pro are coming through with their "full point" unknown.

Correcting this requires that they be charged continuously for eight hours or more, preferably while doing nothing or off.

MacBook Pro will Never overcharge.

Connect it to power whenever power is available, and use it on battery only when power is not available.
