deleting extra name/person at opening

When I was transferring my data to my new MacBook Air from my old Mac, I accidentally created a second user. I am the sole user of my computer and want to delete the newer, second user. How can I do this?

System Preferences > Users & Groups.

Select the second user and click the minus sign. If it's grayed out, you must click the lock in the lower left and enter an administrator password first.
