I keep getting these emails from “Apple” - Scam?

I keep getting these emails from “Apple” saying such and such purchase is awaiting payment confirmation and then a file is attached that I need to download. I haven’t downloaded anything and the email itself looks slightly blurry which is not Apple quality. Here is the latest email I received. This is a scam I’m assuming?? Has someone stolen my ID?

Yes, this is a scam. No one has stolen your information, but someone is emailing you in hopes that you will enter your credit card information. You can learn more about how to spot potential scams here:

You are being subjected to a scam. It's great that you apparantly provided no potentially damaging information to the scammer. Thus, no one has stolen your Apple ID, although they know your related email address. You have been protected by your Apple ID password. See this Apple document Security and your Apple ID

  • Apple does not include document, or PDF files to download.
  • Apple would not refer to you as Dear Customer, Dear Client, or anything other than the name on file for your account.
  • Apple would not have such horrible spelling or grammar.
  • Apple would not send a message to “Undisclosed Recipients”.

It is a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. You can use the address below to forward the suspect email message, as an attachment to Apple.

If you provided your Apple ID and password at the bogus site, change your password immediately.
